Entrepreneur and Humanitarian Project
4th graders in Niskayuna have begun the Entrepreneur and Humanitarian Project, in which students will create a business, sell a product, and donate money to a local charity. This year's "E&H" Fair will be at Niskayuna High School on June 7th from 6:00-7:30. Our 4th graders have voted on donating all proceeds from the E&H Fair to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society.

Dental Health Month:)
Thank you Dr. Vaccaro for visiting Craig's 4th graders for Dental Health Month! The kids enjoyed your presentation on keeping our teeth healthy and clean.
We have all chosen a person of significance for our Biography project! We look forward to researching and sharing our knowledge at the 4th grade Biography Bash in April.
We have wrapped up our Dutch unit in New York state history and will begin learning about Colonial America. We have also wrapped up our Electrical Circuits unit and had fun learning about and making a variety of electrical circuits.
There are two 1/2 days in March dedicated to Parent/Teacher conferences. If you would like to request a conference, please email me and I'd be glad to set up a day and time with you.

Electricity!
Our 4th graders are enjoying our Electricity unit as we are building electrical circuits and learning about polarity, conductors, insulators, resistance, and series and parallel circuits.
In Social Studies, we are learning about the Dutch settlement of present day New York, and are taking the role of Patroons by making posters to attract people coming to New Netherlands.
We have finished up our Personal Opinion writing pieces and are currently working on "How To" expository writing pieces.
We look forward to our Valentine's Day breakfast in a few weeks- info. going home soon:)
